Room 2420, Season 5 is a mini series created as a final project for the New Media degree at FLCC. This is a “office”, “parks and rec” style comedy based in the classroom 2420 at Fingerlakes community college. Past graduating classes created the first four seasons which gave inspiration for Evan Szabo (co-creator) and I to make the next season a little more extreme. This was shot at the FLCC campus on 4k Camcorders provided by the school, audio was captured on both lav and shotgun mics. For this project we switched between mulit-cam and one camera, there was little use of props or additional lighting aside from a couple scenes. I was the main script writer for this project as well as camera operator. Evan Szabo, my co-lead, did all the editing in adobe premiere pro and I provided notes before the final release of each episode to youtube.
PetJake Tattoos Interview
This interview was shot on a sony mirrorless camera and an osmo, audio was captured on lav and shotgun mic and it was edited in Adobe Premier Pro. I wrote, shot, edited and produced the whole video. This was also a project for FLCC, the prompt was any five minute video. I wanted to do something relating to my tattoo artist to show my appreciation for him but I realized viewers have no context to who my artist, “PetJake” is. The goal of this interview was to convey not only who “PetJake” is but why his clients, myself included, love him and keep coming back.
This video is essentially how I describe myself to new people. This was also a project for FLCC with the prompt of any 5 minute video. This was created with shots from a Sony Mirrorless cam and go-pro as well as screen recording and stills. The voice over was recorded on Audacity and it was edited in Avid.
This was an animation project for FLCC created in Adobe Audition, animation is not my preferred media style but it was very cool to learn and I'm proud of what I created. The visual assets are compiled from online and photos I had in my camera roll. The hardest part of creating this was by far the software, it takes a lot of battery, memory and storage on your device and my laptop has never been hotter.
This was a group project for FLCC, the idea and audio were created by Mark Musembi. This is stop motion animation made with paper assets, the photos were taken on a Sony Mirrorless cam and the animations were created in Adobe After Effects and the video was complied in Adobe Premier Pro. The creation process for this 41 second clip took about three days.
